چکیده

The present study seeks to both estimate and analyze the rate of heavy metal changes in soils road margins affected by traffic on Fasa-Darab Road, Iran. Muller index, contamination factor (CF), Geoaccumulation index (Igeo), potential ecological risk (PERI), pollution load (PLI) were calculated determine rate. Principal component analysis was also employed most relevant parameters affecting PERI. maximum amount (2.5 mg/kg) occurred at nearest distance, that is, 2 m. results Igeo show these elements are naturally soil, albeit anthropogenic activity caused an increase concentration metals soil. Results CF showed Ni, Cu, Zn values less than 1, indicative low contamination, whereas Pb with ranging from 3 6 high pollution. PLI for polluted stations 14 23 classified as very other uncontaminated. clustering data two classes. As maintained findings, first contributed 44.98% included Cd, CFCd, RI, Igeo(Cd) parameters, while second represented 27.83% changes, containing Pb, Igeo(Pb), CFPb. Therefore, Cd PERI within area.

Fractionation of Cd, Cu, Ni, Pb, and Zn in floodplain soils from Egypt, Germany and Greece

Trace elements are potentially toxic to human life and the environment. Element toxicity depends on chemical associations in soils. Therefore, determining the chemical form of an element in soils is important to evaluate its mobility and bioavailability. Initial soil development in river floodplains influences soil properties, processes and therefore behavior of trace elements. In this study, t...

Evaluation of roadside soils pollution with heavy metals (Pb, Ni, Cu, Zn) in the Rasht-Qazvin old road (Guilan province)

Background and Objective: Contamination of roadside soils with heavy metals is a serious threat to soil ecosystems and organisms and human health. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the concentration of heavy metals in the roadside soils of the Rasht-Qazvin old road. Materials and Methods: 10 out-of-town sampling sites were selected via the field observation of the entire ar...

Evaluation of the Ecological Risk Indicators of Cd, Cu, Pb, Zn and Ni in the Irrigated Areas with the Treated Wastewater

The present study was conducted to evaluate the ecological risk indices of Zn, Cu, Cd, Pb and Ni in the soils from Urmia region (Ghahramanloo village), as irrigated with treated wastewater. Accordingly, six different soil sites (five soil sites under wastewater irrigation and one soil site under well water irrigation as the control) were selected and sampled (AP horizon, 0-30 cm depth). Soil sa...
